Ingredients
1 cup cottage cheese (preferably small-curd, full-fat for smoothness)
2 tbsp maple syrup or honey (or 1 tbsp stevia for sugar-free option)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional flavor boosters:
1 tbsp cocoa or cacao powder (for chocolate version)
1 tsp espresso shot (for mocha twist)
1 tsp lemon or orange zest (for freshness)
Optional thickeners:
1 tbsp Greek yogurt or chia seeds
Toppings (optional):
Fresh berries, cocoa nibs, peanut butter drizzle, mint, or granola
Instructions
If the cottage cheese is watery, drain it using cheesecloth or a fine strainer.
Add cottage cheese, sweetener, and vanilla extract to a blender.
Blend on high speed until completely smooth and airy.
Add your chosen flavor booster and pulse briefly.
Taste and adjust sweetness or flavor.
Spoon mousse into small jars or cups.
Chill for 10–15 minutes before serving.
Add toppings right before serving for texture and presentation.
Notes
For dairy-free: replace cottage cheese with silken tofu or plant-based yogurt.
For a firmer texture: add Greek yogurt or a teaspoon of gelatin.
Can be used as mousse filling for cakes, breakfast parfaits, or frozen popsicles.
Great for kids—customize flavors and toppings.
