Date Brownie Balls

Easy no-bake date brownie balls made with Medjool dates, nuts, and cocoa powder. Naturally sweet, vegan-friendly, and packed with energy — perfect for guilt-free snacking.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted

  • ½ cup raw almonds or walnuts

  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • Optional: 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Optional: 1 tbsp nut butter

  • Optional: shredded coconut or crushed seeds for coating

Instructions

  • Soak dates in warm water for 5–10 minutes if dry, then drain and pat dry.

  • In a food processor, pulse the nuts until crumbly.

  • Add cocoa powder, salt, and dates. Blend until sticky and well combined.

  • Roll mixture into small bite-sized balls.

  • Chill on parchment paper for 20 minutes before serving.

 

  • Store in the fridge (up to 2 weeks) or freezer (up to 3 months).

Notes

  • For extra protein, add 1 scoop of vanilla or chocolate protein powder.

  • Roll in cocoa powder, chia seeds, or shredded coconut for variety.

 

  • You can swap cocoa for carob powder for a caffeine-free version.
